Meet the Ladies of the Book Club

Virginia Colony
Virginia moved to Washington D.C. with her husband to “save the world” during the war, and wound up living at the same apartment complex as Emily. She joined the book club a year or two after its founding, and is known in the club for her great Jell-o dessert. One of the books Virginia brought to read was about another book club whose members were a dying breed – “ladies that once lunched in gloves and furs,” to which Virginia replied, “Well, we never did that.”
